Katie Vamps It Up for My Birthday
Posting this shot was Laura's idea. "How the hell do I follow up that shot of you?" "Post one of Katie in that swimsuit, guys'll like that one." So here you have it. Katie, in costume change #2 during that all-day shoot. We'd initially planned to drive all over town shooting, but it was wicked hot, and her apartment building ended up being perfect for what we'd wanted to do. Pool, shade, close to her apartment for easy costume changes, nice backgrounds. We did try a pumpkin patch, but boy, that place was more than a little chintzy. Only a few pumpkins, cut rate attractions, right on the corner of a busy intersection. But I'd already spent the afternoon staring at Katie through my camera, so really, what do I have to complain about? Medium format of an earlier shot from this shoot over at the blog: blog.louobedlam.com/post/60690885/this-is-the-medium-form... Oh, and the only half-decent pumpkin patch shot here.
What, You Thought I Was Gonna Post a Photo of a Turkey?
Yeah, the actual facts upon which today's based are a bit of rubbish. But there's nothing wrong with the spirit of the day. For today is the day we celebrate the fact that Pumpkins still roam the earth, and are thankful for that fact. In addition, I am thankful for all the beautiful ladies who let me point my camera at them. And for all the beautiful ladies who help me while I point my camera at other beautiful ladies. And the beautiful dudes who lend me their homes and come along for the ride, and point their cameras at the beautiful ladies while I point my cameras at the beautiful ladies. So, when you're eating pie tonight, think of me, and beautiful people. And be thankful. I'll be here watching The Shield (I'm already two episodes in!), eating pumpkin ice cream I cleverly bought yesterday, and maybe attending a dinner or two. Because the only thing better than Pumpkin ice cream is Pumpkin ice cream and then Pumpkin pie. More Katie hotness on the blog: blog.louobedlam.com/post/61828573/this-one-didnt-work-out...

Married dating also known as “dating for marriedâ€, which means men and ladies who are wed but seek other associates for relationship, proposition or hidden matters. Because of disappointments from relationship married men find dating girls for sex tonight.
I've learned a few things about the person who lost the memory card. I know that this was one of his lady friends. **While surveying out in Denali Park, miles from the nearest road, I found a 1GB memory card that still works. It seems to have wintered somewhere around the Stampede Trail along the Teklanika River. If you have any idea who any of these people in these photos are, please let me know. I've been trying to track down the owner. Here is a link to the story of how I found the card, and a link to the conclusion of how I found the memory card's owner.
Little girls having a tea party
These two happy little girls are having a tea party on the porch. It looks like it was taken in the late 1920's or early 1930's. At one time the picture was in an album with black pages.
Beautiful little girl
This is very light and actually scanned much better than I thought it would. Antique show purchase.
I love these shoes. I wish i had some just like them. I am looking for some in a large child size. Since i am short i have small feet and can sometimes find them to fit me!!! Oh i do hope i can. We'll be twinkies!!! And the envy of all feet.
Four girls - "ain't we cute?"
It took a little bit of restoration on this one but it was worth it. Four smiling girls sitting on a porch rail. A pose if I ever saw one.

In the Grass
Here is a photo from my copy of the June 1959 edition of "Girl Watcher" magazine of two young ladies striking a pose in a grassy field on a Summer day. This was but one of many girlie magazines that circulated throughout the United States throughout the 1950's and 1960's that brought "risque" entertainment to millions of men and boys in the age of "Leave It To Beaver."
Sentimental Find : Roller Girls Nolee
I was going through some stuff that I picked from my parents house awhile ago and to my surprise I found this girl. She was part of the Roller Girls Line that was towards the end( I think) of the My Scene run in the US. I remember being obsessed with those dolls . I had them all for the exception of Madison ( she never showed up in any store). I remember picking her up after the Highschool day ended and being so embarrassed to go through the checkout line. At that time I was really secretive about my collecting. It was that awkward stage between being too "old" and "cool" to want to "play" with dolls and young enough not to know that doll collecting IS cool. It also was the time before I knew about flickr so there was not that support of fellow doll collectors. Luckily, I found out about doll collecting sites and became part of the community and have been happy ever since. =-) Anyways, getting to my point I am definitely going to re-root but am stumped on a color. I am thinking maybe black or purple nothing that is too clash-ey with her eyes. I think she also needs a little paint touch up, she came with really odd screening on her eyebrows and eyes in the first place and time has not helped. =-S
See into the trees, Find the girl
A FOREST Come closer and see See into the trees Find the girl If you can Come closer and see See into the dark Just follow your eyes Just follow your eyes I hear her voice Calling my name The sound is deep In the dark I hear her voice And start to run Into the trees Into the trees Into the trees Suddenly I stop But I know it's too late I'm lost in a forest All alone The girl was never there It's always the same I'm running towards nothing Again and again and again and again A Forest - The Cure

"The Day I Was Found by The Girl at the Bar" (The "Strangers No More" Project)
On March 2011, as I was getting out of our former apartment on Greenwich Ave, I glanced quickly at the window of Johnny's Bar, above which we had lived for 5 years. Many times I had seen that frame before, same scenario, different players. But that day, it was special. In the shade, mysterious, beautiful with only her face lit, she sat... The girl at the bar. I took a candid shot and kept walking. Two days later, I posted it to Flickr and a few weeks later on Instagram as well. It always remained one of my favorite candids. Three months later, we left that neighborhood and moved to Brooklyn. Then, last week, suddenly, magic stoke again. As one Instagram user was browsing the tag #JohnnysBar, she saw my picture and recognized her friend. And therefore, The Girl at the Bar was found... I'm happy to introduce you to Kera, a gorgeous native from Queens (NY), living in Bed Stuy (Brooklyn) these days. Kera splits her time between her Psychology classes and her work as a private math tutor for the department of education, working with kids from kindergarten to 12. Yesterday I got to meet the lovely Kera, I gifted her a mounted print of my original photograph, and returned to the original location to take this portrait. Here's to the power of serendipity, the magic of breaking the barriers from candid street photography to getting to know our subjects, and the importance of (well used) tags in today's social media. Beautiful Little Moroccan Girl
I found this beautiful little girl in a small kasbah I visited Morocco. This little cutie followed us around as we walked through her village. She would peak her tiny head around every rocky corner as if she was a 007 agent. I think she just liked to see her pretty little face on my LCD screen. This village and the little girl are a great memory for me. It is good to know that you can find things that are beautiful everywhere in the world.
